All women are born with the knowledge about how to give birth. Birth is instinctive and what is instinctive doesn’t need to be taught. Rather, we help women to have more trust and faith in their own ability to give birth. This is a unique and innovative approach that is empowering and transforming in nature which decreases their fear and increases their confidence to birth.
Do you need more confidence to give birth? Our Human Values approach to Childbirth Preparation is unique and offers an emotional and academic preparation for birth. Come learn how to position your body to make it easier for your baby to pass through your pelvis to be born. Come and believe that your body already knows how to birth your baby. Follow BirthWorks philosophies for a safe, positive, birthing experience.

Birth Is Instinctive
We believe that the knowledge about how to give birth is born within every woman. Therefore, birth is instinctive and what is instinctive doesn’t need to be taught. We help women to have more trust and faith in their own body knowledge that already knows how to give birth. This is a unique approach that is empowering and transforming in nature.
BirthWorks Is A Process
We believe that each woman finds her own way through birth and labors in her own unique way. Our childbirth classes and doula services honor each woman’s wholeness and individuality and encourage integration of the mind, body, and spirit through the human values of truth, right action, peace, love, and nonviolence. When put into practice these result in less fear and more self-confidence to give birth.
BirthWorks Is Comprehensive
We teach pelvic bodywork and optimal pelvic positioning to help facilitate movement of the baby through the pelvis, and help women grieve and heal from birth related losses. In primal health we recognize that early experiences of the baby impact his health as an adult. We offer an experiential design that is both an academic and emotional preparation for birth through interactive discussion, music, and art.
Birth is instinctive. It makes so much sense now that I think about it. I wish I had heard this before I gave birth. – FL
After my cesarean, I didn’t know I could hold my baby in the recovery room. I didn’t know how important mother baby skin-to-skin contact is at the time of birth for my baby’s brain. – NY
If only I’d known the ways to quiet my thinking brain so my primal brain could be fully accessed for birth. – TX
