The Birth Works International Primal Health Conference will be presenting Primal Health Research findings and motivating attendees to consider implementing care for mothers and babies that utilizes Primal Health practices throughout pregnancy, birth and the first year of life.

Our conference, Primal Health: Global Lessons From the Womb, is one of the first to address what happens to a baby in the primal period, (time in the womb to the end of the first year of life), and the long-term consequences into adulthood. The primal period is important in helping us shape the future health of our children. Through primal health research we are learning that we can alter the pathways to our health by improving the biological, chemical, physiological, emotional, and spiritual environment of our babies in the womb and after.

Our keynote speakers have all carried out extensive work in the field of primal health and include midwives Mary Zwart from the Netherlands and Heloisa Lessa from Brazil, Michel Odent MD from London, Susan Ludington PhD, CNM from Ohio, and Bethany Hays MD from Maine. Dr. Odent is founder of the Primal Health Research Center and publishes an international quarterly newsletter on primal health. His complete database, the Primal Health Research Databank, on our website, brings together research on primal health from around the world.
